Just identified this with Plantful: Ice Cream Bean (Inga edulis). This identification is based on the distinctive long, green pod with white, cottony pulp surrounding the seeds, and the pinnately compound leaves visible in the background. Inga edulis is not toxic, but the pulp is edible while seeds should not be consumed raw. Native to South America, this tree is widely grown in tropical and subtropical regions, including Florida. The pod and leaf structure rule out similar legumes like Albizia and Enterolobium, which lack the edible, sweet pulp.
